The population of Moorabool Shire is expected to double by 2040, confronting Council with many challenges. 

To continue delivering services effectively and efficiently, Council needs to be equipped with the skills and knowledge through learning, development and strategic leadership, and needs to transform the way it designs and delivers services to remain financially sustainable into the future. 

The Moorabool Way business transformation program was launched in 2021 and is designed to meet this challenge across a four-year timeline. 

The program is built around four pillars, which illustrate these aspirations:

1. A Healthy and Thriving Culture: A future-fit, engaged, high performing workforce unified by their commitment to deliver great outcomes for the community.

2. The Right Customer Experience: An organisation that designs and delivers service experiences that are consistent, reliable, inclusive, easy to use, and meet the needs and expectations of our customers.

3. Strategic Alignment: Our vision and roadmap bring clarity and focus to Council, and help prioritise and make decisions at all levels.

4. An Attractive Brand: Known for being dynamic, innovative, inclusive, and forward-thinking, well positioned to attract staff, residents, visitors, new businesses, and funding. Staff are proud to work here.
