McLean Reserve Upgrade

Temporary Closure

McLean Reserve is currently closed to the public during construction. The public toilets on-site are closed and set to be demolished. Temporary toilets are in place across the street next to the CFA. Additionally, public toilets are available at Mill Park.

  • Completion Date30 June 2025

Project background

The project aims to deliver activation and revitalisation of McLean Reserve, Ballan and introduce artistic elements into an integrated landscape design. The project includes:

  • Construction of new shelter/stage
  • Purchase and installation of playground equipment, seating and interpretive/wayfinding signage
  • Restore and reinstall historic horse troth; MAPP Up in Lights noticeboard and drinking fountain
  • Drainage, lighting, landscaping and paving

 

The project

Works at McLean Reserve commenced mid-January 2025 and are scheduled to be complete by late June.
