McLean Reserve is currently closed to the public during construction. The public toilets on-site remain open.

  • Completion Date30 June 2025

Project background

The project aims to deliver activation and revitalisation of McLean Reserve, Ballan and introduce artistic elements into an integrated landscape design. The project includes:

  • Construction of new shelter/stage
  • Purchase and installation of playground equipment, seating and interpretive/wayfinding signage
  • Restore and reinstall historic horse troth; MAPP Up in Lights noticeboard and drinking fountain.
  • Drainage, lighting, landscaping and paving.

 

The project

Works at McLean Reserve commenced mid-January 2025 and are scheduled to be complete by late June.

The reserve (excluding the toilet block) is currently closed to the public and is expected to be open when works are complete.
