Friends of Paddock Creek, in conjunction with the Ballarat Astronomical Society, will hold a special stargazing event on Sunday 3 November 2024 with support from Moorabool Shire Council as part of its Hide + Seek Festival 2024. Council is supporting Friends of Paddock Creek to engage Ballarat Astronomical Society to lead the stargazing. Paddock Creek Reserve is a good place to stargaze as it is relatively dark at night with open skies to the west and south.
The stargazing will be held near the rotunda at Paddock Creek Reserve on Lyndhurst St - opposite the dam.
If you bring a torch a red LED is preferred, if possible.
