Join Lucy Treloar, one of Australia's most esteemed writers, as she discusses her latest novel, "Days of Innocence and Wonder." This gripping story follows Till, a young woman in her early twenties, haunted by the abduction of a childhood friend. As Till senses danger resurfacing, she flees to the struggling country town of Wirowie, seeking a fresh start. Treloar's narrative explores themes of escape, confrontation, and the persistent nature of past trauma.
Lucy Treloar, a Melbourne-based author born in Malaysia and educated across England, Sweden, and Melbourne, has garnered significant acclaim for her previous works. Her 2015 novel "Salt Creek," set in 1850s South Australia, and her 2019 dystopian tale "Wolfe Island" have both received prestigious literary awards. This event offers a unique opportunity to hear from a master storyteller and gain insights into her creative process.
