A Remembrance Day ceremony for the noble sacrifices of armed forces and civilians during times of warfare.
On the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month, one minute of silence is observed across Australia to mark the cessation of hostilities on the Western Front during WW1 after over 4 years of gruesome warfare. The moment in 1918 when hostilities ceased was originally name Armistice Day.
Important: Road closures will occur on Inglis Street between Fisken Street and Stead Street, Monday 11 November 2024 10.00am-11.30am
The event will take place at the Ballan Cenotaph which is location out the front of the Ballan Post Office.
