The major statewide festival for Victorians over 60, the Victorian Seniors Festival, focuses on providing fun and good times, with opportunities to participate in events and activities for free or low cost throughout October each year.

Moorabool Shire Seniors Festival Celebration Day and Expo

Come and learn who’s who in Moorabool Shire: Aged Care Service Providers, volunteer opportunities, social clubs, groups. Seniors looking to connect. No bookings required.

Morning Melodies 

Join Silverchain for a musical morning at the Andy Arnold Centre. Morning tea will be served from 10:30am, no bookings required.

Free Devonshire Tea

Throughout the day over two sittings, the Country Women’s Association (CWA) Bacchus Marsh Branch will serve Moorabool Seniors their scrumptious scones, with jam & cream and a cuppa. Pop in next door for the free Seniors Singalong and Dance concert. Bookings essential.

Ladies Probus Club Bacchus Marsh Morning Tea

Ladies Probus Club of Bacchus Marsh provides an exciting opportunity to meet fellow retirees in our local community.

If you are retired or semi–retired, you can join our Club and attend our monthly meetings. Hear interesting guest speakers and enjoy a wide range of activities such as coffee groups, dinner groups, movies and day outings.

Our meeting is open to anyone who is interested. Following morning tea, our guest speaker will talk about healthy approaches to living as we age.

Bacchus Marsh Men's Shed Come and Try Days

Visit the old Glenmore Primary School on site and see its history. Inspect our timber and metal workshop and our museum of tools .The Men's Shed is to provide a safe, friendly environment for people of all ages to work, teach and seek fellowship. To promote the health of men in our community. All welcome, light refreshments provided.

Come and Try Pilates at Gordon Public Hall

Justine from Nineteen76 fitness & personal training is running two free Pilates sessions for seniors. Classical Mat Pilates is a series of slow and controlled movements to strengthen the core muscles which include the abdominals, the glutes  and the lower back.  Depending on what movement we are doing, we also work the muscles of our arms, legs, upper and mid back, chest and pretty much our whole body.

Pilates also works on our posture, balance and stability, co ordination, injury prevention and the list goes on!!

CANCELLED: Friends of the Paddock Star talk: Discover your night sky 

Discover the amazing universe with the bush astronomer and Gordon local, Darren Bellingham. Learn about our own galaxy, the milky way, other nearby galaxies, the Sun, planets and the Moon. Ask those questions you always wondered about like how can I see an aurora? And what is a black hole? A visual presentation will be followed by telescope viewing in the back yard at Gordon Hall if the weather is favourable.

This event is free for seniors (60years+). Under 60s can purchase a ticket for $5/adult or $12 for a family.

Friends of Paddock Creek Reserve in Gordon are sponsoring this event in conjunction with Moorabool Shire Council as a part of a program of activities for Senior’s month. Moorabool Shire Council is supporting the event so that Seniors can attend for free.

IPC Health Care Finder Service Information Session

Join us to learn about My Aged Care and how IPC Health's Care Finder Service can help you find the support you need. Discover what services are available and chat with a care finder over morning tea.

In this presentation we will discuss My Aged Care and types of supports available, NDIS vs My Aged Care, carer services, and information on how a care finder can support an individual, followed by time to chat with a care finder. If you are experiencing challenges or barriers in finding the support you need, come along to find out more.
