Expression of Interest – Members for Advisory Committees of Council 

Are you passionate about your local community and want to make a difference? Council is seeking expressions of interest from community-minded individuals to join our Advisory Committees of Council. These volunteer committees play an integral role in representation and advocacy on behalf of the wider Moorabool community.

About the Role

As a volunteer committee member, you will work alongside Council to help it perform its functions and responsibilities as provided for in the relevant Terms of Reference. Members are being sought for the following Advisory Committees:

  • Disability Access & Inclusion Advisory Committee
  • Local Business Advisory Committee
  • Maddingley Park Advisory Committee
  • Moorabool Environment & Sustainability Advisory Committee
  • Moorabool Health & Wellbeing Advisory Committee
  • Positive Ageing Advisory Committee
  • Public Art & Collection Advisory Committee

 

Who Should Apply?

We are looking for individuals who:

  • Reside in Moorabool Shire (desirable).
  • Have a passion for our local communities.
  • Can bring appropriate skills or experience in relevant areas to support the purpose of these Advisory Committees. This can include areas such as governance, finance, community engagement or facility management etc.
  • Are committed to attending regular committee meetings and contributing actively.

No prior experience on a committee is necessary – we value a wide range of perspectives and experiences!

To express your interest please nominate which Committee you are interested in and submit a brief statement outlining your relevant experience and why you’d like to be involved. Applications can be sent to committees@moorabool.vic.gov.au by Friday 21 February 2025.
