Driving to Moorabool Shire

From Melbourne, follow the freeway signs to Ballarat. Once on the Western Freeway, the first turn off to Moorabool Shire is Bacchus Marsh, where you can taste your way around local orchards and farm gate market stalls along the world famous Avenue of Honour. Or continue further along the freeway until you reach the town you're planning to visit. 

From Geelong, take either Geelong-Bacchus Marsh Road or Geelong-Ballan Road to visit the town on your itinerary. 

From Ballarat, take the Western Freeway towards Melbourne. The first turn off to Moorabool Shire is Kryal Castle or continue further along the freeway until you reach the town you're planning to visit.

Train to Moorabool Shire

V-Line's fast-rail service between Melbourne and Ballarat stops at Bacchus Marsh and Ballan.
