Bungaree Mechanics Institute Hall

Bungaree Mechanics Institute Hall

The current Bungaree Mechanics Hall was built to replace the original building which was destroyed in 1927 by a cyclone. The original Mechanics Hall was apparently the grandest building in the district and was opened in 1894. The new hall was officially opened in 1928.

The Bungaree Mechanics Hall has two spaces - the main hall and a smaller supper/meeting room for smaller functions or meetings.

A feature of the main hall is its large stage which is great for performances and concerts. The well appointed kitchen includes a wall oven, cooktop, microwave, pie warmer, urn, fridge, cutlery and crockery, ample bench space and servery window to supper/meeting room. The hall and supper room have split system heating and cooling.

Bungaree Mechanics Hall is used by local community groups and for private functions.

The facility includes a large hall with stage, supper room and kitchen facilities.
