Visitors interested in browsing stores for some unique purchases will delight in both the items on offer and the friendly service in the local hat shop, located in the lovingly restored colonial church. There is also a large indoor bazaar with a wide variety of stunning art, antiques and collectables available.

Gordon has a number of dining options available for visitors including the Gordon Hotel, known for its great food and friendly service. There is also family-friendly café, Gordons at Gordon, that offers a mouth-watering menu including vegetarian options as well as both indoor and outdoor seating. Establishing a reputation as a welcoming meeting place, Gordons at Gordon makes the most of a lovingly restored historic building that once provided overnight accommodation for Mother Teresa.

Gordon even has a truffle farm that is open to the public during the truffle season (June to mid-August). The quality of the local truffles have been favourably compared to the best that France can produce.

The Gordon Reserve is the place to go for a lovely picnic. Located at the headwaters of Paddock Creek, the reserve offers picnic facilities, toilets and walking tracks.
