Outdoor pools

Council operates two seasonal outdoor pools at Bacchus Marsh and Ballan. 

For the 2024-2025 season, the outdoors pool season will commence on Saturday 7 December 2024 and close Sunday 9 March 2025.

These pools are operated using a temperature policy to govern opening hours.

The temperature policy dictates opening times as follows:

School Term (Early December, February & March)
Monday to Friday	Closed	3.30-7pm	3.30-8pm
Weekends	Closed	11am-7pm	11am-8pm
School Holidays (Late December & January)
Monday to Friday	Closed	11am-7pm	11am-8pm
Weekends	Closed	11am-7pm	11am-8pm

School Term (7 December to 20 December 2024 and 28 January to 10 March 2025)

• Below 23C - Pools are closed
• 23C and above - Pools open 3.30pm to 7pm
• 35C+ - Pools open extended hours 3.30pm to 8pm

• Below 23C - Pools are closed
• 23C and above – Pools open 11am to 7pm
• 35C+ - Pools open extended hours 11am to 8pm
