CALD Early Years Outreach Support

The CALD (Culturally and Linguistically Diverse) Early Childhood Education Support program is a free service that supports families to access and attend early years services, kindergarten, and community services.

Program aims:

  • Enhance enrolment of CALD children in early years services.
  • Enhance Early Start Kindergarten (ESK) knowledge and attendance.
  • Enhance early years engagement and overall attendance.
  • Support cultural inclusion and belonging within early years services and the wider community.

Supports available:

  • Enrolling into kindergarten.
  • Explaining and supporting ESK access.
  • Filling out enrolment forms for early years education and primary school.
  • Understanding curriculum and teaching and learning approach within early years education.
  • Connecting with community programs and events.
  • Accessing support services.
  • Supporting transitions for children into early years education and primary school.
  • Advocating for cultural awareness and inclusion within early years setting.
  • Facilitating interpreters to support understanding and communication.
  • Individual, case-based supports.
