Multicultural Kindergarten Support Service

The Multicultural Kindergarten Support Service is a free service that supports culturally and linguistically diverse families to access and attend early years services, kindergarten, and community programs.

Families and services can refer for support by completing the referral form linked on this page, and then emailing it to earlyyears@moorabool.vic.gov.au

Program aims:

  • Enhance enrolment of CALD children in early years services.
  • Enhance Early Start Kindergarten (ESK) knowledge and attendance.
  • Enhance early years engagement and overall attendance.
  • Support cultural inclusion and belonging within early years services and the wider community.

Supports available:

  • Enrolling into kindergarten.
  • Explaining and supporting access to Early Start Kindergarten.
  • Completing enrolment forms for early years education and primary school.
  • Understanding curriculum and teaching and learning approach within early years education.
  • Connecting with community programs and events.
  • Accessing support services.
  • Supporting transitions for children into early years education and primary school.
  • Advocating for cultural awareness and inclusion within early years setting.
  • Facilitating interpreters to support understanding and communication.
  • Individual, case-based supports.
